Please watch the video below to see how the injections are performed:
PRP is short for Platelet Rich Plasma.
It has been hailed as a facial skin rejuvenating treatment ever since it was made famous by Kim Kardashian’s “Vampire-Face” rejuvenation pictures.
Now it gained a lot more traction with men to treat Erectile Dysfunction.
About 4ml of the patients own blood is taken, spun through a centrifuge to separate the Platelet Rich Plasma. This is injected with a very fine needle into 4 spots at the top, and 4 spots at the bottom of the penis, just underneath the skin.
Because the patient’s own blood is used there are no side-effects to be expected or reported. A local aesthetic can be used, however it is seldom needed as there is little to no discomfort during the procedure. In this case no aesthetic was used. The procedure is demonstrated on a 57-year-old male patient.
The patient came in for a repeat treatment after 12 months. He was very happy with the previous results reporting consistently hard, long-lasting erections. The video shows the “refresher” treatment after 12 months.
Patient reported no pain, discomfort during the procedure, nor any pain or bruising afterwards.
